Investment: Investment is $550 a session or $2750 inc. GST for the course (which is a third of the cost of one-on-one coaching).

Session 1 – Monday April 20

The Mindset and Approach to running a successful Business
John will talk about the mindset and approach that is required to run a successful Landscape Construction and/or Maintenance business. He will discuss all the elements of a business like – Leadership, Money, Quoting, Project Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Team and Office or Admin, Technology and Systems and KPIs.

Your Private Dashboard (for Construction and Maintenance)
John will give you access to your own private Dashboard where you can enter your monthly quotes, monthly sales and profit, set targets and access information for other areas of your business.

12 Month Goals – how to achieve them
John will discuss your goals and suggest how you make them happen.

You will Receive: Your personal Dashboard, Goals Table
To do Tasks: Write out your 12 month goals, finish setting up your Dashboard

Session 2 – Monday May 11

Understanding your Profit and Loss Statement (for Construction and Maintenance)
An example Profit and Loss Statement will be analysed and explained. It’s the first important step in understanding your business financially and provides the basis for quoting and growing profit. Then in the session, John will give you time to access your P&L and understand it, asking questions if needed.

P&L Restructure (for Construction and Maintenance)
John will explain what is takes to manage your time effectively.
go through how to plan your week and what to delegate. This will be interactive and expect to implement the plan in the session.

Quoting (for Construction and Maintenance)
Part 1
– John will show you how to calculate the hourly rate for each employee (including you). Then getting your materials costs setup. He will explain the Quoting sheet he will provide, or you can use yours. This is for Construction and Maintenance. You will go away and start a simple quote that you can play with in the next session.

You will Receive:  A Quoting Sheet, A Financial Model for a P&L that works for the Landscape Industry.
To do Tasks: Go over your last 6mths of your P&L and analysis the % and show me where it could be improved.

Session 3 – Monday June 1

Continue with Quoting, Part 2  (Construction, Maintenance Softscapes)
John will define Man hrs, Markups, Margins Labour Charge out rate, Markup on Materials – hardscapes, softscapes, subbies, Gross Profit % Margin

Continue with Quoting, Part 3  (Construction, Maintenance Softscapes)
How to detail the emailed quote, Set up a Tracking sheet.

To do Tasks: Create your first quote using my method and quote sheet or your quote app.

Session 4 – Monday June 22

Project Management (Part 2 Managing a Project Day 1 To Handover)

To do Tasks: Take an upcoming project and the Follow my process – planning and from Construction Day until Finish.

JOHN CORBAN (COACH & MENTOR)

John founded Landscapers Coach in 2008 after helping a growing number of Landscaping clients transform their businesses.

John has experienced many years as a successful business owner and over 16 years as a business coach and mentor. He has been a director of several businesses: The North Beach International Hotel and Tramps Menswear (both family businesses he managed with family members) and the Great
Australian Leather Co.

John’s introduction to business coaching happened after engaging a coach to finetune his business systems.
In 2002, Corban Business Coaching began as John’s weekend advice to friends and associates had developed from a part-time interest into a business that John thoroughly enjoyed.

Landscapers Coach began because John was coaching owners from 20 industries and felt he needed to create a niche. Since 2008, John has worked with over 300 landscapers, designers, horticulturists and pool builders across Australia and New Zealand.
